From Quality Gardens catalog 1930: ANNE MARIE CAYEUX (Kay-yuh') (Cayeux 1928) E. 36" S. F. Very large flowers of splendid shape and strong texture. Plant of exceptional vigor and freedom of growth. S. pink lilac, shot with gray. F. a metalic blue on gray, strongly resembling the irridescent coloring of a pigeon’s throat. The general color effect is a soft rosy heliotrope. This was named by M.Cayeux for his youngest grandchild and if you think that, of the tens of thousands of new seedlings M. Cayeux has each year to select from, he picked out an inferior one to name for his youngest grandchild, then you do not know M. Cayeux. We strongly recommend this to our customers who want an exquisitely beautiful variety with an absolutely unique color. Certificate of Merit, S.N.H.F. No delivery until Aug. 15, 1930. $25.00.
