From AIS Bulletin #129, April 1953. Co-introducing ANTHEA H.C. '51 (Corey'53) (L-50-1) (Pink Salmon x Pink Formal). $15.00. Ruffled, semi-flaring, salmon pink self, of excellent color value in the garden. Blooms of good size and substance, beard tangerine red, height medium. Increases well. Blooms in mid-season. Stock limited. Pride's 1953.
Anthea (Corey '53) - "Most interesting shade of salmon pink of good substance. Flaring falls with a slight ruffling, height about 36". Has a long period of bloom." [“Region 15, Varietal Comments,” The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 134 (July 1954): 71.]
