From Campos Altos catalog, 1924: ARGENTINA. Tall white Caterina seedling of unusual size and height. Has wintered and flowered well in Massachusetts, where it was much admired $15.00
"ARGENTINA (Mohr) 1924. A large, tall white Caterina seedling with gold veined haft. A fine seed parent. 50c; 3 for $1.00." [Carl Salbach Iris Catalog, Berkeley, CA, 1930]
 
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: ARGENTINA (Mohr). S. pure white with a few bronze and red-brown markings at the base; F. pure white prominently veined bronze and red-brown at base; orange beard; well branched. A splendid Iris, similar in size and height to Micheline Charraire but not as good because of the too prominent markings. One of the largest whites. Height 36 to 40 inches. $7.50.
