1982, Brown

'Art Center' (Opal Brown, R. 1982). Seedling 78-1F10. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards shell pink (RHS 37D), bordered apricot (24C); apricot styles; Falls brownish apricot infused lavender in center, lighter area below saturn red beard; ruffled. 'Satin Bow' X 'Symphonette'. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens 1982. Honorable Mention 1984.

From AIS Bulletin #245 April 1982 Introducing ART CENTER (0. Brown) TB, 38", M. Ruffled flowers with domed standards of rich apricot-pink. Styles same. Semi-flaring falls are brownish apricot with lavender infusion below the lighter center area. Showy saturn red beards. Excellent branching. HC 1981 under#78-1F10. Satin Bow X Symphonette. $25.00. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens.
