From Brown’s Everblooming Iris Garden catalog, 1962: Autumn Sensation-$25.00-A reblooming Amoena-Fiower-S, Flushed Blue fading to White addressed-F. Dark Blue Purple wide flare. Few veins, dark Blue Purple on Cream base color at base of Falls. Yellow beard-fragrant. Stalk 29 inches, 4 wide branches,10 buds. Two stalks from one rhyzome. Four large and 9 small fans for increase on 2-year clump. Good substance. Bloom began October 10 and continued till November 10. Frost damage after October 15. Parentage (Amoena seedling from Snow Carnival X Green Dragon) (Fall Fairy X Planet) Planet is from McKee's Fair Day, an Amoena. |
