From AIS Bulletin #145, April 1957. Introducing BABY'S BONNET H-C 1956: The first pink amoena. AS DELIGHTFULLY PLEASING AND ALLURING AS THE NAME IMPLIEs. Standards full domed and pure white. Falls semi-flaring, slightly rippled and with the coloring of "Pink Cameo" pink. High lighted with a bright tangerine beard. Very floriferous. The well-proportioned blossoms are of heavy substance and long lasting durability. Good branching. Fertile both ways, it opens new avenues for hybridizers. Acclaimed by many as one of the best "guests" of the year at the 1956 Los Angeles convention. $20. Baker's Acre. |
