From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: BARBIZON (Schr. '61) M. 38 in. From involved red and copper sdlgs. A large, bright chestnut red with hints of orange undertones. Broad petaled and heavily substanced flowers of good form. H.M. 1962. 7.50.
From Schreiner's catalog, 1967: A bright chestnut red with hints of orange. As a garden clump it carries its nobly formed blooms at an unusual height for a red. Nicely proportioned, copious blooms, heavy substance, and rich coloring make this one of the most attractive reds in the garden. HM '62. $2.50.
