From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing BAROQUE PRELUDE-Powerful contender for "best yellow amoena." Show stalks, 36", excellent foliage and growth. Pure white S. with tiny rim of yellow. F. primrose yellow, horizontally flaring, further upturned at the tips. Non-remontant here, but may in warmer climates. Fertile pollen. (Grand Baroque X Amy). Sdlg. 69-25-WFYA. $35.00. BAROQUE PRELUDE (Zurbrigg, 1974), impressed me very much as being a milestone in the development of a true yellow amoena with pure white standards and clean yellow falls and beard. All the quality you expect in a modern iris was there too: Wide form; tall, strong stalks to carry the four branches; good plant habits.
