'Bay View' (Joseph Ghio, R. 1966). Seedling# 62-101T. TB, 30" (76 cm), Late bloom. Color Class-BlF, Hyacinth-blue self including beard. 'Melissa' X 'First Courtship'. Bay View 1967. Honorable Mention 1970.

From Bay View Gardens catalog,1967: BAY VIEW ( Ghio '67) 30 inches, L. In our namesake we have the smoothest shade of hyacinth blue imaginable with a dash of violet. The falls are· extremely broad and ruffled and nearly overlap; the beard is blue in keeping with the petal color. The standards are domed and firmly held. Adequate branching and on the short side, but for sheer elegance in form and beautiful clear color, Bay View is without a peer. No. 62-101 T: ( Melissa x First Courtship). $20.00
