'Belle Of Amherst' (Kenneth Waite, R. 1983). Seedling# 71-21-PR. TB, 34" (86 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards peach apricot (RHS 24D); falls white, 1/4" peach apricot band; tangerine beard; lightly ruffled. 'Coraband' X 'Oraglow'. Tow Path Lane Gardens 1983. High Commendation 1982; Favorite Guest 1983; Honorable Mention 1985.

From AIS Bulletin #250, July 1983 Introducing BELLE OF AMHERST (Waite '83) TB, 37" (94 cm), M. Sdlg. 71-21-PR: (Coraband X Oraglow). Peach-apricot (RHS 240) standards. Clean white falls with wide band the color of standards. Tangerine-orange beards. Stalks have two branches and spur. 7 or 8 buds. Durability of blossoms makes a lot of garden value. Very popular with Region 1 garden visitors. Named for poetess Emily Dickinson. HC in 1981 and 1982. $20.00. Tow path Lane Gardens.
