| From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1954: BETHEL (Linse 1954) 37". Midseason. Seedling LM-2. A rosy tan self with a lustrous, luminous quality hard to describe. The breeding of this iris is unique in that it is a seedling of Lady Mohr out of a tan seedling of Ormohr crossed with Matterhorn (sister to Airy Miss). It should make an excellent outcross for the Kleinsorge and DeForest browns. In appearance it is strictly tall bearded, with firmly held and nicely ruffled standards with heavy midrib. The falls are ruffled and flaring to near horizontal, also with firm midrib and a bit lighter area at the haft, near golden. Orange beard and ruffled styles. A most handsome iris. Each $15.00 |
