1990, Hager

'Big Sky' (Ben Hager, R. 1989). Seedling# T4659B1Sh. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Medium true blue with deeper shadings; cream beard tipped pale yellow. 'Edith Wolford' blue sibling X 'Welcome Aboard'. Melrose Gardens 1990.

From AIS Bulletin #278 July 1990 Introducing BIG SKY (Hager 1990). $35.00. Late 1990 introduction not included in this year's brochure. Tall Bearded sdlg. T4659BISh, 36", (blue sib to Edith Wolford X Welcome Aboard.) The color is a medium blue, on the lighter side. Our camera always has difficulty with the color blue, even on a cloudy day. Large flowers with plenty of substance and branching. Melrose Gardens.
