'Big Ute' (M. D. Wallace, R. 1954). Seedling# 5210. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-R1D, Deep-red self. 'Grand Canyon' x 'Lancaster' x 'Three Oaks'). Wallace 1954. HM 1955; JC 1956.

From Wallace Gardens catalog, 1955: BIG UTE-1954-(Grand Canyon x (Lancaster x Three Oaks). A huge rich blending of mahogany and burgundy red with a light suggestion of blue sheen below the beard. Falls are wide and flaring with excellent heavy substance. Standards are lightly domed. One of the finest deep reds to date. 36 inch stalks. Stock limited. NET $25.00.
