Standards martius yellow (M&P 9-I-1), paler (9-B-1) in center; style arms reed yellow (10-I-1), crests martius yellow; falls oyster white (10-B-1), ¼˝ martius yellow band at distal end, hafts suffused sulphur yellow (10-J-1); beards primrose yellow (10-J-4) in throat and middle, blue (41-B-8) end.

From Keith Keppel catalog 2016 BLIND AMBITION M 38" (Silk Road X 06-156E, Friendly Advice sib). Perhaps this should be Blonde Ambition, for it is trying to be that much sought-after yellow with blue beards. It comes close, with medium light martius yellow standards atop oyster white falls narrowly banded yellow and with sulphur-suffused hafts. Beards blue on the end, remainder primrose yellow. Well-branched tall stalks carry large waved and ruffled blooms. #08-32A. $50.00. |
