'Blue Ignition' (Barry Blyth by Christian Bedard, R. 2026). Seedling W118-1, TB, 31-36" (78.5-91.5 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards bright lilac-blue, electric; style arms soft lilac-blue; falls copper orange, with blue suffusion in middle, edged light blue, some light yellow cream vein hafts; beards bright light orange; Barry Blyth; slight fragrance. 'Glad All Over' X 'Friendly Advice' sibling.

| Description from the Breck's website: A rare colour pairing in elaborately frilled blooms. Lavender-blue standards rise above richly ruffled rusty-red falls edged and reversed in the same cool lavender-blue, creating a seldom-seen colour pairing that instantly draws the eye. Each 4½" bloom shows vivid orange beards and dramatic texture. Adds vertical interest and strong colour contrast to mixed perennial borders. This iris by noted Australian breeder Barry Blyth is a Breck’s exclusive introduction. |
