From Iris Test Garden Catalog, 1955: BLUE PARAKEET. (Waters 1950). A stunning new Iris. A lovely clear Chicory blue with a very decided olive haft reaching nearly an inch down the fall. The flowers are large, the tall stalks 40-43 inches, are widely branched. Heavy fragrance. Excellent. Midseason. Late. $3.00.
From Easy Breeze Gardens catalog, 1955: BLUE PARAKEET (Waters '50) 37". HM '53. Gleaming medium blue with chartreuse-olive brushing at the haft. $4.00.
