From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: BLUE RAVEN (Tompkins '60\ M.L. 38 in. ((Maid of Astalot x Sib.) x Lake Huron) x Miles Blue) X (Lake Huron x B. Shimmer x (8. Shimmer x Lake Huron) X (Down Beat x Dark Boatman). A very large, excellently formed flower of bright, deep navy blue with a near self colored blue, bronze infused beard. A very clean flower with broad smooth, heavily substanced petals. Falls have a laciniated edge. Extra fine stalks and branching. A good grower. 10.00.
