From Hill Iris catalog, 1932: BLUEBONNET - (Egelberg, 1930) - Large blue purple bicolor of great contrast;extremely vigorous with almost perfect stalk. Has been grown in the Bronx test garden two years and they recommended its introduction .. $5.00.

  • It is much bluer than my photos show. The camera I had at the time did not pick up that intense blue under-glow that some irises have. Much nicer in person than in photos. It is not just another purple. -Mike -- Main.mikeu - 06 Jan 2019
