References:

From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: BOLINGBROKE (Newlands-Hort). S. and F. white slightly tinted lavender which gives it a milk white color, red-brown markings at base; orange beard. S. well arched. Medium sized bloom of good shape and substance. Better height and size than White Queen, but not as pure a white. We imported this variety in 1922 and this is the first year it has bloomed for us. Height, 27 inches $7.50
