References:

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1957: BRIGHT CONTRAST (Schreiner 1953) Each 3.00. In dash and vibrancy of color, this iris reminds us of Raspberry Ribbon, only that the color contrast is even sharper. The very large white flowers are trimmed, plicata fashion, in rich petunia purple. Very distinctive and quite early.
