Standards white with blush of lemon at lower midrib; falls velvety erythrite red, light haft pattern deep within petal, 1/8" white border; orange beard. 'Breaking Dawn' X 'Latin Lover'. From 1982 Schreiner's catalog: BRISTO MAGIC (Schreiner 1982) EM 35" This amoena has a strikingly different color pattern. The standards are near white, ideally upright and closed. The falls are erythrite red. A real advance towards red falls--not blue, purple or orchid. The edges of the slightly waved falls are pleasantly marked with a border of 1/8 inch white--the same color as the standards. Continuing in winning ways this Iris is climaxed with orange beards. A fine stem adds to the affect with three branches and 6 to 7 buds.Striking to be sure. It is most impressive! Seedling # I 677-2. $25.00
