From Tempo Two catalog, 1993: BRONZED VIOLET (Donnell 93 Aust) M 34". Les Donnell continues to find that elusive different Iris in his seedling patch and this one appealed to us on its initial bloom in the trial garden of being well worthy of introduction. The name really says it all. A strange bronze violet with a bluish flash on the falls. It has a metallic sheen. Wide ruffled flowers on strong stems. (Speculator X Tintinara). Sdlg 87-3-7. $25.00.
