1970, Dennis

'Bronzite' (Paul Dennis, R. 1965). Seedling# 64-15. TB, 30" (76 cm), Late midseason bloom. Color Class-R5D, Standards reddish bronze; falls darker than standards with darker veining and infusion of violet. 'Caribou Trail' X 'Inca Chief'. Top O' The Ridge 1970.

From Alan Harper’s Top O’ The Ridge catalog,1971: BRONZITE (P. Dennis 1970) TB 30" ML CARIBOU TRAIL X INCA CHIEF. Rich burgundy red buds open to medium large blooms of reddish brown. Neither M & P nor RHS have good color matches in the red-browns, but it is perhaps nearest RHS 51B. Closed standards, flaring falls, wide hafts, non-fading. $12.50
