| From AIS Bulletin #237 April 1980 Introducing BUBBLING MOLASSES (Steinhauer). TB, 38", L (5907). The name perfectly described the color of Winkie's sib to Penny a Pinch. The closed standards of this golden tan self (RHS 165D) top falls that have a light blaze at the end of a yellow-orange (21C) beard. Both standards and falls have frilly edging. Seven blooms appear on three branches and a terminal. Though hybridized in the Northeast, Bubbling Molasses seems to do well in all climes. (Sunsite X Denver Mint. $25.00. Burch Iris Gardens. |
