BUECHLEY'S GIANT. Self. B1L. Buechley 1932. Brief. Large; light haft and styles; S. pale lavender violet fading lighter; F. pleroma violet fading to pale mauve at edge; 4 ft. Details. A spreading flower; S. erect; F. drooping with flaring tips; beard projecting, orange tipt. Remarks. Might be described as a paler Titan. |

Buechley's Giant: (B) (Buechley) 1. Very fine, tall, clear-toned blue. Color is not sacrificed to size. Both very outstanding. (Ia.) 2. Great size the only feature. (Ill.) (There seems to be a wide difference of opinion on this iris for it was rated as low as 66 by one judge, and as high as 94 by another.—R.S.S.) |
