1993/94, Blyth

'Burst' (Barry Blyth, R. 1993). Seedling# Z81-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards golden butterscotch; falls butterscotch with red infusion halfway down; beards bright mustard yellow; sweet fragrance. 'Swain' X ( 'Mountain Melody' x 'Polished Amber'). Tempo Two 1993/94.

From Tempo Two catalog, 1993: BURST (Blyth 93 Aust) EM 36'. Really a fancy plicata in disguise though to most it does not look one. Standards are golden butterscotch swirlingly closed; falls are the same butterscotch with a burst of red as an infusion half way down each. Beards are bright mustard yellow, and there is a noted sweet fragrance. Good easy grower.(Swain X (Mountain Melody x Polished Amber).) Sdlg Z81-1. $30.00.
