'Buttercup Bower' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1960). Seedling# 58-112. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason to very late bloom. Color Class Y1L, Lemon-cream self. 'Bright Sight' X 'Butterhorn'. Fleur de Lis 1961. Honorable Mention 1962.

This iris exhibits purple-based foliage.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: BUTTERCUP BOWER (Tomp. '61) E.L. 38 in. (Bright Sight x Butterhorn). From a brilliant yellow sister to Ful1 Voltage comes this rich creamy lemon and buttercup yellow recessive. Broad, gently waved petals of heavy substance and superb form of flower as well as a great many buds on the strong, beautifully branched stalks makes this a perfect garden piece. H.M. 1963. 15.00.
