'Buttermilk Frost' (
Calvin Helsley, R. 1976). Seedling# 16-CH-74. TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards cream with brushed effect of yellow from the base; falls cream, yellow hafts spreading down side, changing to edging of deeper cream; deep yellow beard.

From AIS Bulletin #225 Spring 1977 Introducing BUTTERMILK FROST-TB, L, 38". $25.00. The strong stalks support large flowers, beautifully ruffled. Flowers are a buttermilk cream with beards and wide hafts of yellow, which spreads down the side of the falls, changing to a faint deeper cream edging. The same edging color is brushed through the closed standards. All petal edges of the heavy substanced flowers are lightly serrated. Blooms are long lasting. Fertile both ways.
