'Butterscotch Blues' (Norma Barnard, R. 1996). Seedling# N 91-93. TB, 32" (81 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards and style arms butterscotch; falls ivory, banded butterscotch, variable pale blue center wash; beards gold; ruffled; slight sweet fragrance. 'Evening Magic' X 'Bohemian'. Paradise Iris 1996.

From Fairmount Gardens, 1958: BUTTERMERE (Randall 1958) EM. An iris that is well named for it is a rich and brilliant Buttercup Yellow (5) (Wilson Horticultural Chart) self with broad firmly domed standards and wide arched and flaring falls. A very smoothly finished flower with no striations and the full yellow beard intensifies the depth of color. An early profusely blooming variety with firm substance and long lasting qualities that has great show and garden value. Selected for trial at Wisley. Jordans x Zantha. 37 in. $10.00.
