All petals are full, wide and rounded. The standards are closed and the wide falls flared. The healthy, free-growing plants plants produce several bloom stalks per plant, as well as leaving generous increase. (Blarney Stone x ((Frances Kent x Pinnacle) x 62-1) X ((Cool Valley x green seedling) x Cool Valley). $25.00. Pacific Coast Hybridizers.
BUTTONWILLOW (Roe '77) has much green influence! Standards are a very light lemon yellow with falls of a very bright lemon-yellow; lemon beards. This is a very showy plant, although inclined to be rather tall with fair branching. [F. G. Stephenson, (VA), “1980 Iris Season Reviewed in Virginia”, The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 239 (October 1980): 42.]
