From Maple Valley Gardens catalog, 1949: CADET BLUE (W. 1949) N0. 4333 (ANNABEL X BLUE ZENITH) M. 36 in. Deep medium blue sister seedling of BLUE RHYTHM. Strong plants. $1.00.
From Cathy Egerer: One unusual characteristic is the fragrance, it's unlike anything I've smelled before. It's described as a "locust fragrance" and that's just what it smells like.
