From AIS Bulletin #209 April 1973 Introducing CANONERO. Net $25.00. (Alan Corlew 1973).Handsome is a good one word description of this smooth, metallic violet self with a blending beard of violet-bronze. It is a husky grower and produces an abundance of beautifully branched stalks. Much to the delight of the young hybridizer, it put on a fine display at the Portland Convention. 36". Midseason.
