'Caribou Trail' (Gordon Plough, R. 1956) Seedliing# 51-129-3. TB, 32" (81 cm). Midseason to late bloom. Standards rich medium golden-brown; falls same, bright violet glaze below beard. ('Cascade Splendor' x 'Honeyflow') x 'Twenty Grand'. Eden Road, Iris Test Garden 1957. Honorable Mention 1957; Judges' Choice 1958; Award of Merit 1959.

From Iris Test Garden catalog, 1958: CARIBOU TRAIL. (Plough 1957). M. L. 32 inches. No. 51-129-3. ((Cascade Splendor x Honeyflow) x Twenty Grand) Sib to Butterscotch Kiss. Beautiful rich medium golden brown with a bright violet blaze radiating out in the center of the falls. All petal edges are heavily crimped and shirred on this large heavily substanced creation. Vigorous grower. H. M. 1957. $20.00.

My Ektachrome shows you better than any words the spontaneous appeal of this rich, glowing golden brown with a bright violet blaze. All petal edges & style crests heavily crimped & shirred.
