| From Western Iris Gardens catalog, 1948: CARLSBAD CAVERNS (Wilson, 1945). L. 36" A rich gold and creamy lemon flower of giant proportions, this is new and exciting. Standards are ruffled and falls edged-ruffled. The creamy lemon standard color blends nicely with the white falls which are pencil-streaked gold. Golden haft and beard highlight the center of this strong stalked flower. $5.00.
| From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: CARLSBAD CAVERNS (Wilson 1946) M. 38 in. (National White x Spun Gold) Once again we are able to list this very fine iris. We know of nothing quite like it with its massive but well formed flowers with their broad ruffled petals of extra heavy substance. The color is that of the richest cream with all over hints and mistings of crystally silver and gold gilt. 1.50.
