'Carlsbad Caverns' ( Douglas Wilson, R. 1945) TB. Midseason bloom. Color Class-Y6L. 'National White' x 'Spun Gold'.

From Western Iris Gardens catalog, 1948: CARLSBAD CAVERNS (Wilson, 1945). L. 36" A rich gold and creamy lemon flower of giant proportions, this is new and exciting. Standards are ruffled and falls edged-ruffled. The creamy lemon standard color blends nicely with the white falls which are pencil-streaked gold. Golden haft and beard highlight the center of this strong stalked flower. $5.00
