From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: CARMELO. (Mohr 1923). An unusual and interesting Seedling of Korolkowi X Germanica Major parentage that has proven as hardy as it is graceful and lovely. The long, narrow flowers are a distinct shade of blue-violet with deeper bluc veinings, identical in shape with the Korolkowi species. Award of Merit, 1924, by the Royal Horticultural Socicty, London. $1.50 each.
