From Sass catalog, 1937: CAROLINE E. STRINGER (Jacob Sass, 1930)-ln effect a beautiful pink tinted iris, large beautifully ruffled with yellow at the haft and a yellow beard. 6 inches. 25c
From Sarah Toedt’s Springtime Gardens catalog, 1929: CAROLINE STRINGER — Lavendar blush with a flush of white on falls. Pink under artificial light.
 
CAROLINE E. STRINGER. A few years ago the Sass's gave us this lovely apple blossom pink—a pink so pale and delicate that it is almost a tinted white. It still stands as one of the really excellent things in fine iris, and at the present very low price no one should be without it.
