Hybridizer's Comment: This is a colour class of iris called Variegata and from our experience they are very difficult to improve upon in breeding. This addition to this difficult class is well worth growing as it gives a basis for improving the pattern from a different colour source, not directly from variegatas. The standards are honeycomb yellow and falls are rich smooth red-burgundy with a fine wire edge of honeycomb yellow. Flowers are ruffled to laced and beards are bronze gold. Good clean colour on well branched stems. lt is proving to be a fine parent. |
