From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing CENTER RING (Spence '74). Midseason, 37"-39", TB. Sdlg. 66-60-9A (Amethyst Flame x Decker 2-784) x Orchid Brocade. Mauve self with a flash of blue in center of falls and mauve-brown border. This iris is highlighted with a rich bronze beard. The flower is large and flaring. Good branching and bud count.
