'Chant' (Tom Craig, R. 1960). Seedling# R-8-7. TB, 29" (74 cm), Early to late bloom. Standards deep port wine; falls mascara with bright gold sheen. (('Cordovan' x 'Molten') x (('China Maid' x 'Tiffany') x 'Aztec Copper')) X 'Harvest Tone'. Craig 1960.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: CHANT Craig '60) E.L. 40 in. (((Cordovan x Molten) x ((China Maid x Tiffany) x Aztec Copper))) x Harvest Tone. A huge and very showy new reverse bicolor blend. Wide, ruffled, domed stands of deep purple red and falls of rich Mascara, blended copper leaf and with gilted lacquer-like finish. 15.00.
From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1964: CHANT (Craig '60) E-L-30". A very heavy re-bloomer. Standards deep port wine; falls strikingly done in deep metallic brown-red, with copper leaf sheen & golden iridescence. A top quality Iris of elegant form with fine wide branching. Should be a wonderful parent for re·bloomers. ((Cordovan x Molten) x ((China Maid x Tiffany) x Aztec Copper)) X Harvest Tone.
