From AIS Bulletin #193 April 1969 Introducing CHARMED CIRCLE. M. 35". (HAPPY MEETING x ROCOCO) X (FULL CIRCLE x ROCOCO). Orbicular-falled plicata of roslyn blue (blue-violet) on white. Nicely ruffled, with arched standards; three branches plus terminal, and large flowers. A strong small blue beard adds the finishing touch. Shortage of stock plus advance reservations make the "limit: one to a customer" a necessity. HC 1968. $25.00. Keith Keppel. |
CHARMED CIRCLE is another fine deep blue and white plic which has the added advantage of a blue beard. It was short, but I don't believe this is typical. [Ron Mullin, "Irises I Like," American Iris Society Bulletin, No. 204 (January 1972), 13.] |
CHARMED CIRCLE (Keppel) - For us, much better and more consistent that the famous STEPPING OUT, although a bit shorter. If you have an early TB show, this clean blue plic will be a contender. [Perry Dyer, “A Tall bearded Collection for the Beginner”, The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 237 (April 1980): 35.] |
