From Fay catalog, 1958: Chinese Lantern $15.00 (1957)No. 53-114- Mary Randall X Techny Chimes. Tall, large deep yellow self with a tangerine beard. This is the brightest beard I have seen on a yellow Iris. 42 inches tall, well branched bloom stem; large and vigorous plant.
