From Tempo Two catalog, 2014: CHOCOLATIER (Blyth 2014 Aust) L-VL35” Right at the end of the season comes this delightful brown Iris. There have not been many modern true brown Iris introduced for a while and although we do not make crosses for them sometimes they show up in a cross as this one has when we were making crosses for blue bearded pink amoenas. Where did we go wrong? This one has chocolate brown standards and plush chocolate brown falls. Beards are bronze. The picture tells it all. It will set pods but no seedlings have flowered from it so far. Good branching. (Ginger Ice X Fortunate Son). Sdlg No. T125-2. .$75.00. |
