One of the best red bearded whites is CHRISTMAS TIME ('65, HM '66), a product of a white sport of MAY HALL and ARCTIC FLAME. Its principal features are good height (40" ), strong growing characteristics, adequate branching, good bud count, and above all the wide, vivid, orangy-red beard. The flower itself is firm and large, a good white though not startlingly white, fine lace on both closed standards and semiflaring falls. [H. M.
