Beautifully ruffled almost snow white plicata with a brilliant sheen. Very light suffusion of pale purple overall. Pictured in January '66 Bulletin p. 64. HC '66. $30.00. R.G. Smith.| |"At the other end of the blue spectrum is one of his best creations to date: D 79 ER, a pale lavender blue plicata with the garden name of Cloud Duet. It has intense ruffling and so many other qualities for which we look in a modern iris. Although it was not in bloom at the time, a blue breeder bears mention because of its unusual blooming habits. It has three distinct flowering periods instead of two like most remontants. It might thus be called a triflora. It is a very vigorous descendant of MARTIE EVEREST." [Billy G. Skillman, “A Fall Garden Visit,” The Bulletin of the American Iris Society, No. 180 (January 1966): 65.] | | | ---
%INCLUDE{"AdmTbInsert"}% ---
%COMMENT{ type="bottom"}% --- -- Main.BetsyHiggins - 2010-11-07
