From Longfield Iris Farms catalog, 1956: COLONIAL BOUQUET (Jonas No. 852-1 (Chantilly x (Hall Pink X Mary Randall) ). This is Mr. Jonas' first tall bearded introduction. After raising thousands of seedlings he feels at last that this Iris merits introduction. A shimmering, iridescent Iris of Mallow Pink and light Ochraceous Salmon. The beards of Ochraceous Salmon blend in perfectly with the pastel coloring. This is not the usual "flamingo" pink but a color distinct from any of them. An Iris of excellent form with edges of the petals slightly ruffled, heavy substance. Stalks are well branched, 32-35 inches tall. A thrifty grower and of good flowering habit. $20.00.
