From Iris City Garden catalog, 1940: CONESTOGA: A justly popular copper colored iris. Standards are gold and copper; the falls a gleaming red-copper. The petals are broader than are those of some of the other "coppers" and the blooms are carried on stems, low and widely branched. $3.00. |
CONESTOGA - The standards are lighter copper, and the falls are wider than those of the above named varieties[ Aztec, Magnetawan]. A somewhat better form - 36".
