'Consolation' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1949). Seedling# 46-36. Revised parentage. TB, 38" (97 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-B1M, Light medium-blue self. 'Blue Shimmer' X 'Great Lakes'.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: CONSOLATION (Temp. 1950) M. 38 in. (Blue Shimmer x Great Lakes). A gigantic flower of light medium blue with a beautifully tailored semi-flaring form, heavy substance and glistening finish. A beauty and a fine parent. 1.50.
