2012, Blyth

'Cool Charlotte' (Barry Blyth, R. 2012). Seedling# S5-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards and falls soft icy blue, Standards deeper at midrib; beards white base, hairs lightly tipped tangerine; slight sweet fragrance. 'Café Bleu' X 'Waterline'. Tempo Two 201213.

Hybridizer's Comment : This is a soft icy blue with a little deeper shading at the midrib and around the hafts. Beards are white just tipped tangerine. Coming from Café Bleu, it has its lovely full ruffled form and growth habits. Cafe Bleu is a reliable rebloomer and Cool Charlotte has thrown up some rebloom stems occasionally. Plenty of show stems. Fertility untried but sure to be a good parent with such a pedigree.
