References

From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing CREAM TAFFETA (Rudolph '70) $25.00. No. 66-25 (64-61 X Yellow Chiffon: (60-53 X 62-50: (Fay 56-06 X Arctic Flame: (Dancing Bride X Sib). A very clean light cream self RHS 10/D. The huge, heavily ruffled and perfectly shaped blossoms have a lighter area at the center of the 3" wide falls and a slight lemon shading at the haft, with a white tipped lemon beard. Underside of the falls are quite green. The very heavy substance is like carved wax. Branching and plant habits are excellent. Nine buds. Fertile both ways. HC 1968 and 1969. Lakelawn Gardens.
Rudolph's 'YELLOW CHIFFON' and CREAM TAFFETA were impressive in all gardens. CREAM TAFFETA will fill a need for good irises in that color range described in its name. Flowers are large and coloring is smooth, from ruffled edges to the heart of the bloom. 'YELLOW CHIFFON' is a luscious yellow and white blend which looks good enough to eat. The slightly open standards are held strongly erect so that they are attractive. Both of these are very fine additions to any garden. [Mullin, Ron (1971). Irises I Like, American Iris Society Bulletin 204(January 1972), 10.]
